Insulating your summerhouse is something we highly recommend when purchasing your building as it means that you can comfortably use your cabin the whole year round.  We install insulation above the roof and below the floor so the inside of your cabin looks no different.  This involves using a waterproof membrane above the roof boards, followed by insulation board such as Cellotex or Kingspan and then OSB board.  Your roof covering is then attached to the OSB board.  Under the floor we put insulation board. 

Insulating the cabin makes all the difference and is really worth doing if your budget allows.  Once insulated it retains any heat from your heat source meaning you will not need to have the heating on the whole time you are in the cabin.

Insulating your cabin means you can purchase and have it installed at any time of the year meaning your cabin is not just a summer ‘chilling or office space’ but one that provides real value for money.
