The perfect solution for independent living: Granny Annexes

As families adapt to the changing needs of an ageing population, many are looking for comfortable, cost-effective ways to support elderly loved ones while maintaining their independence. A granny annexe from Summerhouses Unlimited provides a self-contained, stylish, and practical living space, offering the perfect balance of privacy and proximity.

Our log cabins offer a rustic, homely feel that blends seamlessly into any garden. They create a warm, inviting environment that feels just like home. Each cabin can be tailored to suit your needs,

Our buildings are crafted using renewable timber, making them an eco-conscious choice. With proper insulation and double glazing, they’re also highly energy-efficient.

Compared to traditional bricks-and-mortar extensions, our cabins offer significant savings in both construction time and cost—without compromising on comfort or quality.

Creating a functional and welcoming annexe involves more than just square footage. Here are a few important factors to consider:

Accessibility: Incorporate wide doorways, level access, walk-in showers, and easy-to-use fixtures.

Comfort: Ensure the building includes insulation, and double glazing for year-round usability.

Personalisation: Decorate with your loved one’s favourite colours and items to make the space truly feel like home.
